Achmad Albar
Indonesian lead vocalist of the finest rock band God Bless. He was born in Surabaya, Jawa Timur, 16 Juli 1946. Born from a married couples Syech Albar and Farida Al-Hasani, that finally seperated. Farida Al-Hasani then married again with an actor Jamaluddin Malik.
Achmad Albar was once married to the artist Rini S. Bono and has three sons: Fauzi Albar, an actor named Fachri Albar, and Fadli Albar.
Achmad Albar known with his first film as an actor(when he was ini 11th) in "Jenderal Kecil". His first step in terms of musician, when he was at 11 formed a band Named Bintang Remaja, although the band is only for two years long.
Achmad Albar whos known also as "iyek" go to Netherlands. Throughout the 1980s to the mid-1990s, Ahmad Albar issued the album Syair Kehidupan (1980) with Ian Antono, Dunia Huru Hara dan Dunia Dibakar Api (1988) made with musicians areng Widodo, Kartika (1989) with Gito Rollies, albums Secita Stories, Sure Step, and Scenario with Fariz RM, and Hand Steel with Farid Hardja, and Never There Wounds (1996) with lady rocker Nicky Astria.
When searching for Gong vocalist who fronted Ian Antono 2000, Albert Wijaya, Yaya Muktio (drums), Harry Anggoman (keyboards), and Donny, the choice fell on Ahmad Albar, because he was considered the best at that time. Gong Concert 2000 dated October 26, 1991 at Senayan East Parking satisfying about 100,000 spectators with powerful sound system equipment 120 000 300 000 watts and watt-powered lights.
